Automatic Generation of Problems , Faultdiagnosis and Problem

چکیده

In this paper a system, called GAP, that automatically generates problems of increasing diiculty from information of engineering procedures is described. GAP receives as input formulae used in engineering procedures and ranges of the independent variables. With them, it creates a constraint propagation network, creates ranges for the rest of the variables, and automatically generates problems of increasing diiculty. It compares the user's responses to problems posed by the system to locate (if necessary) the user's mistakes. GAP can be used to any domain represented in terms of algebraic equations. Experiments with civil engineering procedures are presented.
